Hazel, the Welsh cob, has developed into a good driving pony, enjoying Ben Hur gallops across the Forest. Holly's education suffered a setback in September when she injured a hind leg badly overnight in an accident with a gate. Initially we feared the worst, but after 3 days she could hobble about and she's now fully sound, though still with some scarring and swelling. Linnet (now 19) and her other daughter Willow (2) have had a quiet year, but Willow should be ready to ride next year (in theory... but will I dare? -- Ed).
